ABOUT ME

Cassie.jpg

Hey, I'm Cassie,

Part time photographer, full-time admin assistant, and part-time dirt enthusiast.

Born and raised in small-town Alberta, I grew up next door to my grandparents’ cattle farm, where 4-H meetings, horse hair, and mud stained jeans were just part of everyday life.

I spent my younger years showing horses, tending to my projects in Beef and Equine 4-H, and eventually trading in my show clothes for team roping (with one brief, overly ambitious winter as a barrel racer—yeah...it didn’t stick).

These days, I work full-time as an admin assistant at a local university and live in town, but my heart still beats to the rhythm of rodeo announcers, arena dust, and cattle calls. While I may not live in the country right now, I stay rooted in the lifestyle by doing what I love most—capturing it. Whether it’s jackpots, rodeos, or quiet moments with your equine companion(s), I’m there, camera in hand, ice capp in the cupholder, and my senior Aussie sidekick, Dan, riding shotgun.

I trip over my own feet, choke on air more often than I’d like to admit, and somehow always manage to end up with hay (or grass and dirt) in my bra—but I wouldn’t trade this life for anything. It’s real, it’s raw, and it’s worth remembering. So if you’re looking for someone who understands the lifestyle, captures the real stuff, and can make you laugh mid-photo—then I’m your girl.
